crawling out from under my damp and fungi ridden rock i give you:
BROTHER/SISTER... epic in the 'nicole doesn't care' series.
and here's why:
golf. there is, like, five pages in which brother (i've forgotten his name) talks about golfing, being some kind of golfing wizz. i hate golf. it is not a sport people. not a sport.
this book is two halves that tried to make a whole... and it didn't work. either the first half should have been rewritten to match the second half, or the second half to match the first half. something that didn't make me go: SAY WHAT NOW?
the ending. gotta say. it's either a love it or hate it oh my god twister ending. my intial reaction was to like it. i was so shocked and just oh my god twister about it. but then it sat with me for about half an hour and when the shock wore off i realised the ending had no basis. there wasn't enough throughout the book to support the twister ending. it was a oh my god twister ending for oh my godness sake. that and i was just so weirded out by the whole experience of the book, i just couldn't force myself to care.
the characters. the brother is CRAZY. just absolutely crazy. but so is the sister. so neither get any sympathy from me. seriously. CAPSLOCK SERIOUSLY CRAZY. they were both HORRID. they both could have face planted into a grave of spiders and i wouldn't have cared. ugh!
the incest. i never know exactly what to say. it's so whackadoo crazy its kind of hilarious. but it's also mostly gross. and weird. and wrong. but hilarious too. unless you're meg rossof, and then you're just the boss.
