a list of things...

because i am feeling properly 'sharing is caring' today, here is a list of things you may not know about me (and really: don't we all just want to know everything about me? of course we do. this is not at all self-indulgent-soap-boxing, nooooooo. it also isn't to make up for the fact that i have not read in a week... okay okay, two weeks).

1. i'm pretty much a communist (although i have shouted this out before). give me a utopian dream society where we are all equal and loved and rainbows and unicorns... yep, i'm a dreamer. im also the biggest capitalist communist you'll ever meet (behind china, obviously). i'm a study of contradictions. what can you do.

2. bobby kennedy's speech in indianapolis on the death of martin luther king is one of my favourite things in the world. the crowd was almost completely african american and no one had told them of king's assassination yet. this speech is completely on the fly... and it's poised and beautiful and completely hopeful, even surrounded by death.

3. i dream in wars... and beheadings. i've dreamt in revolutions, world wars, civil wars and one rather random dream about a death march in the fruit and veggie section of safeway (i don't even know). also: if you're my friend, then i've beheaded you in my dream. sorry about that.

4. i am chronically late. it doesn't matter how much i try, i cannot get somewhere on time.

5. i have an addictive personality.

6. i hate sweet potato. it makes me want to gag. i'll eat any fruit or vegetable... just not that. yuck.

7. i'm beyond thankful to this blog. it is the reason i now know miss e., adele and romy. (do you hear the shout out romy?!?!?!)

8. i love school and learning.

9. running is the be all and end all to life. i'm convinced. if my body wouldn't give out; i'd just run and run and run.

10. it's quite fortunate i love to run and run, because i also love chocolate. i'm on block five since sunday...

11. i'm watching generation kill right now.

12. for some insane reason i don't believe in libraries. not so much as in 'i don't believe in their value' (they're immensely valuable)... i just never borrow from them. i have this weird compulsion to own every book. i don't know why and i don't know how... but i HAVE to OWN them. see number five in list: addictive personality.

13. i need to wash my hair tonight.

14. my childhood home had a flat roof. my favourite thing to do was run up and down that thing like a crazy person. my mother was never impressed... it made a lot of sound.

15. i have a faulty memory bank. i will not remember you from eve, but i remember nearly every moment of the original radio transmission of war of the world... errr obviously not during the original time period. they replay it on AM radio from time to time.

16. is my favourite number :)
